We ate Bahn Mi here in August last year and returned recently in the new year. Great expectations, as the first time, service was efficient and the rolls super delicious (which is saying something, as we are avid B.M. eaters). The woman at the register was staring into her iPhone, quite rude despite sensing my presence - had to interrupt (?!?) As we sat waiting for food (slow this time despite not being busy), noticed another customer needed to attract staff attention also. The rolls were 'not bad', but the rice paper rolls were poorly made, and basically fell apart - losing the contents onto the bench top (which had obviously not been wiped for some time. In fairness, I suppose this is the centre management's responsibility, as the eating spaces are in the middle of the mall's passageway - but it certainly takes away from the experience). We thought after our first visit, VB Rolls may become a regular spot for us, but frankly we have no desire to return. I'm wondering, had ownership/management changed recently, as the two experiences were a dramatic contrast...

Roll'd who?! In this forgotten CBD mall food court you'll find beautiful authentic Vietnamese banh mi and rice paper rolls that is pure gold. Juiciest chicken I've ever had. Highly recommend for probably the best price to quality Vietnamese in the CBD. (They have great lunch deals!) It's become quite popular, so I recommend you run, don't walk.

VB Rolls at the Kmart Centre is hands-down the best Vietnamese food in the city. The banh mi are next-level — fresh, crunchy, packed with flavour — and the rice paper rolls are light, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The Vietnamese coffee is sensational and absolutely hits the spot, especially on a warm day. Friendly staff, lightning-fast service, and consistently amazing food every single time. If you’re in the city and anywhere near the Kmart Centre, VB Rolls is a must. Honestly outstanding.

Bunh mi is only $9.50! It’s a great option for those on a budget and it’s also healthy. The service is friendly and they have a delicious vb noodle box that comes with spring rolls. Definitely worth trying!
