This was my second time ordering from Uncle Eddie, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I got the Char Mee and Sambal Fried Rice for takeaway, and once again, the flavours instantly reminded me of home.

This was my second time ordering from Uncle Eddie, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I got the Char Mee and Sambal Fried Rice for takeaway, and once again, the flavours instantly reminded me of home. I really appreciate that they let you adjust the spice level to your preference—and trust me, the spice is so good. If you’re ever feeling a bit homesick or craving proper comfort food, Uncle Eddie’s dishes will sort you out in no time.
Had the pigs trotters and duck egg char kway teow and both dishes were yum. Also had the ice lemon tea which is homemade and the ice kacang. Visited about 11ish but the place filled up really quickly past noon so get in early if you're heading here.
2025 , the Char Kuey Teow is different . Not the best and certainly not the same . Perhaps we came at the wrong time where the cheff has to cook as fast as he could to serve all the many guest . The chicken rice needs imporvement, rice is hard and lack flavor. The chili was nice though !!! The soup that comes along was plain . Laksa was todays special and it was good , 7/10 good !! Overall i would prefer to come when they just open or when there is no crowd. However the 5star still remains , uncle eddie is a skillful person , master of fried kueh teow. Just not our day today . Came here first time in 2023 and left with good memories of their best Char Kuey Teow in the world (seriously !!) . I have been everywhere , all the asian countries , european , american and i conclude there is no Char Kuew Teow that can compare to this right here in Perth. The kuew teow is cooked perfectly, moist enough , noodle texture is perfect , even the fried egg is cooked to perfection!! Uncle Eddie deserves a Michelin Star this dish. Been waiting for a year , and we are back 2024. Thumbs up , the dish is just as perfect as how i remembered. The people here are extremely humble. In my honest opinion , this dish alone deserves 6 star !!
Tucked in Bannister Road’s industrial area, Uncle Eddie serves up classic Malaysian hawker fare that tastes like it came straight from the streets—no frills, no fuss, just spot-on flavours. We visited on its only trading night, Friday, and found the friendly man at the till both patient and helpful, though service here is the pared-back, self-serve style you’d expect at a true kopitiam. Every dish we tried—char koay teow, nasi lemak, and curry mee—hit the mark, delivering that comforting “back-home” authenticity rare to find in Perth. The fluorescent-lit, plain setting offers little in the way of ambience, but that only amplifies the street-stall vibe. For hearty, genuinely Malaysian cooking in an unlikely corner of town, Uncle Eddie is well worth the detour—and we’ll definitely be back.
First visit here after multiple recommendations from mates. Did not disappoint us! Brought the extended family along for lunch and even my brother who was visiting from overseas agreed the food was great! Menu is limited but adequate and done well. The Char Kway Teow was the standout for us as was the chendol! We will be back!
