I absolutely love this place. Itโs my goโto spot for me and my family. If you want a chill, lowโkey meal that fills you up without being ridiculously expensive, this is the place. Itโs perfect after lateโnight shopping or for a late lunch after work on the weekend. The chicken is so good. I always order the Mamacoco boneless chicken, and even though I should probably be more adventurous, it never disappoints. The cheese corn plate is awesome too. I canโt speak highly enough about this place. The service is lovely โ they even know my order before I say anything. Truly a 10 out of 10. JG - Out
Excellent fried chicken. Goes quite well with soju. Chicken hot and juicy. Comes with variety of condiments. I like the garlic sauce. There are free parkings along the street. Middle lane parking is free in Cairns but make sure to check how long. Kids love it. They can make big table for group.
We recently visited this estaurant in Cairns, Australia, and had a great overall experience. We ordered Momโs Chicken Wings and the Garlic & Sweet Chicken, both dishes were absolutely delicious, with well balanced flavors and a moderate level of spice that suited our taste perfectly. The chicken, as confirmed by the owner, is halal, which was reassuring and appreciated. The food was served within 15 minutes, which was impressive considering the quality and freshness of the dishes. The service was smooth, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The seating area is ok, not fancy, but clean enough for a casual meal. The restaurant is in a prime location right in the city center, making it very convenient to access on foot or by public transport. One downside is that parking can be tricky, especially during busy hours, so itโs something to keep in mind if you're driving. That said, the prices are reasonable, and for the quality of the food and service, itโs definitely worth it. Highly recommended for anyone looking for tasty halal chicken dishes in the heart of the city.
One of the best plates of chicken Iโve eaten. The wait was a bit long (almost 20 minutes with only ~5 patrons), but it was WORTH IT. The rice is perfectly done, the slaw compliments the chicken. The chicken itself is well cooked and still moist, with the skin having a mild crunch. Had me laughing with joy every other bite! The only other complaint I have is that the music was a tad loud, but it fit the vibe.
I had high hopes arriving at Tasty Road and the food on the menu looked great, if a little pricey. However, we were seated for well over an hour before we got our food, this would've been fine if the service was good, but our drinks also took a good 20 minutes to come out which was weird as they were just canned/bottled drinks. We weren't told anything that was happening in the kitchen and I could see other tables were waiting ages, even takeaway was 30+ minutes. The whole time we were there, no wait staff came over to check on how our meal was going or updated us on time remaining for our meals. When the food came out, it was beautiful, I got the chicken and cheese chicken with chips, it was beautiful and I loved the cheese sauce but some of the other meals were very pricey. One of my friends ordered a chicken dish and it came by itself eight to ten pieces of chicken with no sides at all, the meal came to around 28 dollars, I would've appreciated a traditional korean/Asian side included with the food. All in all, the food was delicious and if the service was improved, I could see myself going back there, but I'd probably choose to go somewhere else in Cairns otherwise. EDUT: Just thought I should include, we were seated out the front which could've been a reason for the negative service.
