We came in here, starving. We were at the MONA and the bartender recommend at this place. We loved it. Service was lightning, fast, and every dish was amazing. We had the chicken skewers, curry roti, Nasi Lemak, and prawn noodles - all 5 star!!!

We're always looking for Malaysian or Indonesian food. Taste of Malaysia serves very nice dishes. It's quite busy, but we're lucky and found a table. Service is quick and friendly. We'll come back, from Sunshine Coast Queensland, and will definitely plan a visit here.

Have eaten at Taste of Malaysia in previous visits. Sydneysiders, who are very familiar with Malaysian food-fare, here in Hobart again. We had enjoyed dishes in past visits and our experience on 2 occasions over 3 days this time around is again thumbs-up. Cheers to the chef and other kitchen and service staff. Mentioned to the owner (wife of the chef) that they should consider expanding to Sydney, especially near UNSW. We won't have to travel that far then! 😂

WOW ! What can I say but get down to “taste of Malaysia” and try it for yourself ! Absolutely beautiful food and the staff are very friendly people, the restaurant is clean, great atmosphere and very popular as it was packed when we placed our order. We got take away and will be back to dine in this coming weekend as we were so impressed, the oysters in the picture were purchased elsewhere.

Was recommended to try out Taste of Malaysia and it didn’t disappoint. Ordered the Char Kway Tiao, Sambal Squid and Chicken Satay and they were all good. Portion is large for 2 to share thus price for some of the dishes is a bit steep. Ideal for group of 4. Service was good and friendly!
