Seven Star Pocha

About
Seven Star is genuinely impressive Korean food โ the kind you remember after the meal. The fried chicken stands out immediately: crisp, light coating with juicy meat inside, good enough on its own without relying on sauce.

Food was DELICIOUS, the portions were surprisingly large and just damn the food tasted good. the staff were kind, quick and accommodating. and the atmosphere was super cozy even though we went a bit before they closed which they were pretty empty and ready to pack up and even still the staff approached up with smiles. very good would definitely recommend and i think next time iโd order a bit less ๐
the chicken was super crispy and juicy, for $44 it was definitely worth it! It comes with mayo thats super creamy and the honey sauce was sweet and added flavour. The restaurant was a bit loud and we had to talk pretty loud to hear over everything but overall this restaurant serves great food!
Seven Star is genuinely impressive Korean food โ the kind you remember after the meal. The fried chicken stands out immediately: crisp, light coating with juicy meat inside, good enough on its own without relying on sauce. The spicy stir-fry pots (tteokbokki with seafood or meat) are another highlight, with a rich, well-balanced sauce thatโs spicy without being overly salty, and plenty of wok heat. Banchan are fresh and thoughtfully prepared, not just fillers, and the lettuce wraps help balance the heavier dishes. Portion sizes are generous, making this a great spot for sharing with two or three people. The atmosphere is lively and busy, tables are fairly close together, but that feels appropriate for this style of Korean dining. Overall, this is a strong recommendation if youโre looking for bold, authentic flavours rather than a toned-down or fusion-style Korean restaurant in Melbourne.
Authentic Korean restaurant at a very convenient location. We ordered the kimchi seafood pancake, jokbal and seven star budaejjigae. The kimchi seafood pancake was exceptionally delicious, it was crispy and flavoured just right. The jokbal and budaejjigae were also very nice, very decent portions as well! Would definitely recommend to come with friends or family!
We tried: ๐ฅ Original Spicy Chicken Feet (์์กฐ๊ตญ๋ฌผ ๋ญ๋ฐ) โ $34 Very tender and easy to eat โ the meat easily falls off the bone. Flavorful but not too spicy for us. ๐ฃ Soy-Marinated Salmon (์ฐ์ด์ฅ) โ $35 Fresh but just okay for us โ we prefer the shrimp version more. ๐ฆ Soy-Marinated Prawn (์์ฐ์ฅ) โ $35 Juicy, tasty, and full of flavor โ our favorite between the two. ๐ท Jokbal (์กฑ๋ฐ) โ $49 Tender, juicy pork served with garlic, chili, and lettuce. All servings are generous and perfect for sharing. Always busy on weekends โ great spot for late-night Korean food and drinks. Weโll come back next time to try the soy-marinated crab (๊ฐ์ฅ๊ฒ์ฅ) ๐ฆ
