my friend and i ordered the wagyu beef burger and chicken parmi. the food was great, but there was a big contrast in portion sizes. it’s not as noticeable in the pictures, but the parmi itself was massive compared to the size of my burger, and was served with a large handful of chips, which my friend was unable to finish. on the other hand, i received a slider-sized burger with a cup of chips that i felt was way too small for the amount i paid. i’ll admit there was a $6 difference in our meals so maybe ill give them the benefit of the doubt, but i do wish the burger gave me better bang for my buck. next time i’ll be sure to order the parmi if that is the portion size they are selling

Great little spot! Tasty food at an accessible price. My mom and I were looking for a nice place to have lunch in front of the beach. This place was buzzing with people, and the dishes looking amazing. We managed to get a table outdoors, which was lovely given that it was a nice day. I had the pepper squid and it was delish. My mom had the fish and chips and it was made just right! We enjoyed our meal. Highly recommended!

I had lunch at Sailor’s Rest on a Saturday and it was such a lovely experience, the perfect spot to relax by the Geelong waterfront. The salt & pepper squid was exactly how I like it: crispy, well seasoned, and paired wonderfully with the Asian noodle salad. The venue is gorgeous: light filled dining rooms and beautiful outdoor areas overlooking Corio Bay. Their lunch menu is great, fresh seafood, pasta, salads, and more, with good variety and quality. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the lunch feel relaxed and enjoyable. It’s family friendly but also stylish enough for a chilled date or catchup with friends.

Average food quality. A lot of other choices at similar price level. The steak surprised me as it came as 3 thin slices of beef instead of a normal steak I expected. Personally I can’t understand why the average Google rating is so positive. The only good thing is staff there are quite friendly and helpful.

Heaters are available during colder weather, keeping the outdoor area warm and cozy. The menu has a great selection of food and drinks. I was pleasantly surprised by the seafood platter—generous portions and incredibly fresh seafood. Service was quick and efficient, and the relaxing background music added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. Reasonably priced and definitely worth the money. Highly recommended!
