For breakfast, the paper craine offers a completely exceptional hotel breakfast buffet. The whole family raved on the quality and many choices. Wr looked forward to it every morning of our 4 night stay at the Riley. The choices are large so I will just give the highlights . Fresh fruit. Ceareals. Fruit smoothie md. Juice. Large hot section with eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, French toast, and much more. A fancy coffee machine for your latte, expresso, capacinno, or flat white. Toast with comb honey, Jams, etc. The highlight for us were the pastries. While not every one of the 8-20 availabile each morning were freshly made each morning, many came directly ftom their kitchen. If you selected one of those, be prepared for perhaps the best danish of your life. I admit to being from the US where we suffer with a lot of substandard factory-produced baked goods, but even still I think I have had a few great baked goods in my life. If you are staying at the Riley, do not skip the breakfast buffet and be sure to have a danish or two. They are absolutely amazing.

The staff & atmosphere was amazing! Quality service, always checking in & making sure that we were settling in well & updating on our meals & when it would be ready. Very friendly & inviting. The food wasn’t too bad, they had an amazing deal for $2 fresh oysters, they were big & very delicious. Special fried rice was flavoursome, bao buns weren’t as fresh, tasted rubbery on the outside, char siu pork inspired dish was nice.

We dined at Paper Crane tonight to celebrate our upcoming 15th wedding anniversary after a big work week, and it was an absolute delight. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and genuinely kind. We chose the Feed Me set menu, and every dish was outstanding. The dumplings were a highlight, while the lumpia, pork char siu, cauliflower, and cucumber salad were simply unforgettable. We’d heard glowing reviews about the chefs beforehand, and they truly lived up to the reputation. To top it off, the spicy margarita and the DJ’s music created the perfect atmosphere, adding a fun and vibrant touch to the evening. Thank you, Paper Crane, for making our pre-anniversary celebration so memorable. 🌸

It’s our first time in Cairns and we are staying at the Crystalbrook Riley Hotel. Our flight from Melbourne got in early and after checking in, the wife and I went to Paper Crane for a coffee even though their breakfast service had finished. Nonetheless a very friendly and courteous staff member explained the breakfast service had finished however offered and provided free of charge some danishes with our coffee which I thought was a great gesture / customer service. Coffee was great and we were so impressed with the morning experience, we booked and had lunch there as well. Highly recommended.

beautiful staff especially Juan who made our night full of laughter. Leo too had amazing service and the atmosphere here made us want to stay for forever. Definitely highly recommend, the food and drinks were delicious and staff exceeded all expectations. Made the end to our holiday a highlight!!! Thank you Juan
