Lovely setting. Authentic food with such excellent flavours. The mushrooms with truffle soft egg and manchego cheese were to die for and the pork belly was deliciously crispy. The barman made the best amaretto sour I’ve head in years. So good that I had two. Waiters were friendly and fun.

The food was good but not worth the money. We ordered calamares rellenos, torreznos, pincho and mariscos. The tapas were all okay (the torreznos was the best) but for three small plates, $70 was quite steep. as for the paella, the rice was mushy and there was no crispy layer underneath bc it was wet. expected more flavour especially since it's a spanish restaurant. service was slow and we struggled flagging down staff. the tables are crammed pretty close together as well. not a bad experience but won't come back.

With so many dining options along Little Stanley Street in South Bank, Ola initially stood out as one of the few Spanish restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to the expectation. We dined as a family and ordered three kids’ meals, a chicken and chorizo paella, and a couple of tapas dishes. The total came to around $140, which felt steep for what was delivered. The food was fine — clean, reasonably well presented, and somewhat tasty — but overall it was very ordinary Spanish fare. Nothing was bad, but nothing was memorable or exciting either. Value for money was already borderline, but what really left a sour taste was the public holiday surcharge. Ola applies a 20% surcharge, which is noticeably higher than the 5–10% many nearby restaurants charge. In my view, this feels excessive and difficult to justify, especially when the food itself is fairly unremarkable. In a precinct packed with strong competitors, Ola may appeal for convenience or atmosphere, but for the price — especially on public holidays — there are better value and more flavourful options nearby.

Located South Bank, good environment, nice location. The staff Jeremy performed professional job and good service. The other males staff didn't do well, bias in serving customers. The oysters is fresh, yet the size still small. The Spanish seafood rice is good and recommend to try, suitable for 2 persons.

Food was phenomenal! The pork belly was amazing as always. We had the banquet menu this time, the time between course was good at the start but slowed down significantly towards the end, we waited almost 40 mins between potatoes and then paella, then welcome dessert came out half the table got it then the lady left and the other half waited another 45 mins till it came back out, it only came back out when it was asked for too which was a bit frustrating. Besides that it was all good. Staff were nice, good location and delicious drinks.
