I picked this restaurant as a few items from the menu suggested the cuisine was North Vietnamese, and included the Hai Phong speciality of banh da. I was correct: most of the staff came from this port city, and i had high expectations of a good meal. The fish cake in the banh da tasted average - perhaps the cakes were too dry. We ordered Hanoi spring rolls and one of the banh cuon dishes, which tasted average to good. I ordered an iced coffee which wasn't too sweet - kudos!
Really enjoyed the combination vermicelli soup๏ผThe noodles are different from usual pho and have great texture. The charcoal grilled pork was also excellent with a nice smoky taste. Authentic place with lots of Vietnamese customers. Would definitely come back.
Amazing Vietnamese food! The fresh prawn rice rolls are a must-try so light and delicious. The beef stew noodle soup is rich and comforting, and the taro bites are perfectly crispy. Fresh steamed rice rolls was just so nice! Everything is fresh, flavorful, and great value for money. Already planning my next visit!
My favourite restaurant in the city. Their Bรกnh Cuแปn (rolled noddle) is only made to order so it is very tasty, soft, silky. Their homemade loaf (pork loaf - chแบฃ heo, green glutinous rice loaf - chแบฃ cแปm and squid loaf - chแบฃ mแปฑc) is really really good๐๐ป Spot on! Their noodle soup also worths a try. Very authentic Vietnamese flavour. I am very strict with my Vietnamese flavour and I would say they nail it๐๐ป Staff members are very lovely too. Highly recommend if you look for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant right in the CBD (Lonsdale street) ๐๐ป
Steamed rice rolls that are as close to the real deal. Great variety of options and fillings as well as soups. The rolls are made fresh, accompaniments are also fresh and crunchy. My squid cakes were superb, the meat loaf was also very good. Spring rolls were a let down but not too bad, just more pasty as opposed to chunky so really depends on your preference. The Chinese doughnut was a little stale but not inedible. Definitely worth a try.
