Weโve been to Ong 5 or more times - as a couple and also in small groups - and weโve always had an excellent experience. As a coeliac itโs so nice that the majority of the menu is gluten free. The feed me menu option is excellent for a group, so much food and they were happy to do all gluten free. You have to try the corn ribs and crispy rice paper. The wait staff are also fantastic! Highly recommend.
Great restaurant. Food actually 4.5 stars - very good and generous portions, but pork was a little chewy- ate just before kitchen closing, so maybe it was better earlier in the evening . Rice paper pancakes are delicious and innovative. Squid was fresh and perfectly flavour balanced. Cerviche was ok and the sauce was lovely. The scallops were plump and juicy and cooked to perfection - definitely a highlight dish. Good spot for quick dinner with friends and the staff were lovely and attentive.
Went there as rated 4.5 on a Thursday night. Service was good. Place was nicely done. Food was presented well. Reason I am rating as 3.5 is the food just did not pack the Vietnamese flavours as a whole for me. The pork belly was crispy on the skin but a dry inside.
First time experience at ONG! The brother to Noi apparently? Service was really friendly but was hard to manage as the restaurant was busy and it wouldโve been best to have certain people serve upstairs and down opposed to both. Food and drinks were good but not at the price I was thinking to be โgreatโ. The restaurant has nothing wrong but didnโt hit the 5 stars for me being the first time. Keen to try it again soon and hopefully edit my review! (Only some of my photos) Thank you everyone
I'm so glad I came across this place โ the whole shelf of my favourite rooster sauce instantly caught my attention! I wasnโt sure what to expect since the menu was quite different from what I'm used to. It seemed like an upmarket, fusion-style Vietnamese restaurant. Honestly, my friends were keener to try it than I was after checking out the menu, but Iโm so glad I gave it a go. I started with the duck crispy spring roll, which was more like a pizza โ super crispy, absolutely delicious, and totally addictive. Every bite had me wanting more. Then I had the pork belly, which was massive โ and I smashed it! The pork was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the apple salad. It was one of the best meals Iโve had in a long time. I only wish this place was closer to home โ Iโm literally drooling as I write this review. Big shoutout to the two male waitstaff who were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely nice.
