There was a long queue when I arrived close to noon which I understand itโs a common occurrence for them. I could feel like the team was pretty overwhelmed with orders. When it was close to our turn they took out the sold out sign for the banh mi. However a couple of minutes later they announced they could do probably another 10 rolls which I was glad to hear. I ordered the traditional pork roll and crispy pork roll. Iโm probably one of the few that did not enjoy my roll. The maggi seasoning was too strong and some parts of the roll were exceptionally dry. Nothing stood out for me. Will not return as there are better options at Darra.
Pretty good! We came as it was known as the best banh mi in Queensland (or maybe Brisbane). I got the chicken one and my partner got the pork one as I donโt eat pork. The chicken was a bit dry which detracted from the banh mi. My partner tried both my one and his, and he said his was a lot better, so keep this in mind. We sat outside (not at the restaurants tables but just on the seats in the street) so I couldnโt really say much about the seating and vibe, but it seemed pretty well organised and ample!
Service was super quick but the food was so-so. The crispy pork banh mi was good and I like that they add pate, but maybe I had too high expectations because the banh mi is supposedly the best in Brisbane.
Absolutely incredible! Hands down the best Banh Mi Iโve ever had โ anywhere in Australia. I tried the grilled pork first (so tasty!) and then the crispy pork bellyโฆ wow! Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and seriously addictive. The crispy fried rice is a hidden gem โ totally unique and bursting with flavour. Warm, welcoming, and full of heart โ youโre treated like family the moment you walk in. The owner and Ana are absolute legends and make the experience unforgettable. Canโt wait to return. This place is a total gem โ a must-visit!
Cute, casual Vietnamese place - great spot for a quick lunch. The pork rice paper rolls were pretty good and the lemongrass chicken vermicelli salad was yum too. The vegetables could have been pickled more and I found the portion relatively small. The highlight was the crispy pork fried rice. The pork was very tender and well seasoned with a perfectly crunchy crackling. The fried rice had great "wok hay". Service was quick and friendly.
