I really enjoyed go every Friday to the store and getting to know the new store was exciting, but this time I feel like when I order a salad the pork has been less than before and I received all the fat and cero clean protein. So is a bit expensive now. I also asked to have the other extras but when I arrive to eat it it didnโt had the onions or peanuts :(
The prices are probably a bit higher than other Vietnamese places with similar menus, but the portion sizes are generous. My friend said thereโs usually a long queue at lunchtime. I ordered a salad bowl with roast pork for $18.5. When I opened the box, it was packed. The meat wasnโt chopped into pieces, but more finely chopped. At first, I wasnโt too impressed, it looked like scraped, but once everything was mixed together, it actually worked really well. You donโt have to bite into big chunks, and the meat is evenly spread throughout the noodles and veggies ๐. The fish sauce looked like it wasnโt much, but it turned out to be just enough. Though if youโre someone who likes a lot of sauce, you might find it a bit lacking. My personal highlight is lots of crushed peanuts and fried shallots. Typing out this little review just made me crave it all over again ๐
Iโve tried this place for banh mi rolls a few times. The bread rolls are fresh and come with pรขtรฉ, and they use crushed chilies. Iโve had rolls with roast pork, lemongrass chicken, and spicy pork. The roast pork had a decent amount of crackling, and I personally liked the spicy pork for its flavorโitโs also something unique to them. You can choose between white or wholemeal bread, which is another feature Iโve found unique to this place. The only downside Iโve noticed is that the bread rolls are a little smaller compared to those at similar places, and the roast pork can be a bit salty at times. Other than that, itโs a decent spot for a banh mi roll in the city. ๐
Tried their combination roll, no chilli and no coriander, which cost $13. I chose to have lemon grass chicken and crackling pork. The chosen proteins were rich in flavour. The sauce served prevented the dish from being dry as well as providing an additional layer of tasty goodness. They were generous is protein portions, which I appreciated. I highly recommend this meal and Iโd buy it again. 8.5/10
The food was delicious, and the service was great. However, even though I told them twice to remove the coriander, it was still included. It seems like they might have used one utensils. They need to be more careful. I hate coriander and can't eat at all.
