South Brisbane’s best Vietnamese restaurant. It’s our usual go-to spot for a really nice and authentic Vietnamese food. Crispy pork banhmi is the best one with generous filling, and recently I’ve tried the dry chicken pho, bursting with flavours with the pho soup on the side. Chefs kiss!!
This place is a hidden gem that truly delivers on flavour, quality, and service. The food is incredibly fresh, authentic, and full of rich Vietnamese flavours. Every dish is beautifully presented and tastes just as good as it looks. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. The atmosphere is clean, warm, and comfortable — perfect for both casual meals and dining with friends or family. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again! 5⭐️
We tried the crispy pork bánh mì – the bread was perfectly crunchy, and their special sauce is incredibly unique. We also had the pork and crab tomato noodles, which was my absolute favourite (I finished it before I even remembered to take a photo 😅). The last dish was the dried beef phở, and it was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommend 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
As a tourist from Vietnam visiting Australia, I didn’t expect flavours this close to home, but MEBAMI absolutely nailed it. We had Bún Riêu, Bún Bò Huế, Beef Phở, plus Vietnamese iced coffee with jelly. Everything was served fast, steaming hot, and super flavourful. The broths tasted authentic, like you’re eating in Vietnam. Portions were generous and the prices were really reasonable. It’s kid-friendly with a dine-in option, and perfect if you’re tired after walking around South Bank. 10/10 service, must-visit in Brisbane
I came here three times to try different dishes. The banh mi was crispy and freshly made, but it was hard for me to bite into. The way the staff cut the banh mi is similar to a hot dog bun, so when you take a bite, the filling easily falls out. The baguette itself is not very dense and is a bit hollow, so you don’t feel very full after finishing one banh mi. Pho, crab noodle soup, and sizzling beef are quite good, although not very authentic, as they are sweeter than the usual flavors. The portion sizes are slightly smaller than I expected, which is why my partner and I had to order two banh mi and an additional dish to actually feel full. Spring rolls were disappointing because the portion was small and fairly oily. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
