Worst service ever. We arrived around 8:30 pm, and the restaurant was not busy at all, with many empty tables. We ordered one entrรฉe and a paella. I understand paella takes time to cook (the staff advised around 40 minutes), however we waited almost one hour just to receive the entrรฉe. When the entrรฉe arrived, it clearly contained chilli. I had specifically requested no chilli when ordering, as I get stomachache. I asked the staff to confirm, and she confidently said it was fine. Because it was obvious that chilli was present, I asked again. Only after checking with the chef did they admit it contained chilli and had to remake the dish. This was very disappointing and unprofessional, especially since I clearly emphasised my dietary requirement. Even worse, the paella arrived more than an hour after ordering, and by that time we still had not received the entrรฉe. The paella itself was extremely over-seasoned โ it tasted super salty, with a heavy tomato sauce that was unpleasant to eat. Overall, we wasted over an hour waiting, and since we donโt live nearby, we ended up getting home very late. Didn't receive any apologies. If you are considering this restaurant, you will make a big mistake.
We arrived with warmth and beautiful hospitable from Louis the chef himself. Explained the menu and took the time to extend his love for Spanish cooking. Settle down with some olives marinated in olive and herbs we started to appreciate the decor of this unique restaurant and it's menu on the walls. We started with croquet that was divine and knew instantly that we are in for an explosion of flavours for our next course. We moved onto mussells and asked forore bread because the sauce was so nice we wanted to drink it as a soup. Then came out main the paella with packed a punch of flavour and seafood. It could feed easily 3 people. Not overcood rice or over done seafood just mixed full of Spanish flavour dancing in your mouth. Will be back to try out the chef seasonal menu! Make sure you book or else walk in might be hard
This place is absolutely amazing! The owner is super friendly and attentive, and he even cooks for us. The vibe is great for hanging out with friends and family. Highly recommend!
Sunday Lunch - $106 for two people The owner (cheff) was very cheerful and kind. He makes every customer happy:) The must order was seafood paella ๐ฅ. Starting from 2 / $35. The portion was generous and we were very full at the end. Potato and salad were great too!
We booked a table. We were running 15minutes late and called ahead to give warning, the man on the phone said that's fine. When we arrived, there was no table for us. I've read other reviews and this is obviously an issue they haven't addressed. Anyway, Ten minutes later we sat down at a table. We ordered Tapas, two dishes came within 15 minutes but then the rest took an additional half hour or longer which was surprising as, by this stage, half the tables were free. Our server was very nice. The food was quite nice, if a tad expensive. It's uncomfortably loud, as they pack in as many tiny tables as possible. It gets extremely loud. You will likely have to squeeze past people to get to your table. To sum up, the overall service (including not holding our reserved table, and speed of food coming out) let it down. I wouldn't go back, but I don't look at the experience negatively. 3/5 for me.
