Kopilicious is aptly named. The menu is filled with mouth-watering dishes that truly pack a punch of flavour. ๐ The atmosphere is just as memorable, with live music on weekend evenings, transporting you somewhere between a festive Southeast Asian wedding and a lively neighbourhood gathering. Warm, joyful, and full of life. ๐ถ ๐ธโจ My favourite is the Nasi Lemak, but everything Iโve ordered here is delicious. And always with extra sambal! Canโt get enough spice! ๐ถ๏ธ
Had a lovely lunch at Kopilicious in Melbourne CBD with my husband. Such a pleasant and relaxing experience overall. I ordered the claypot silver needle noodles, which came out hot and comforting. The flavour leaned slightly on the sweeter side, but it didnโt take away from the dish at all โ it actually added a nice Malaysian touch. The noodles were smooth and well cooked, and the portion was satisfying. My husband had the crispy pork belly wonton noodles, and it was really enjoyable. The pork belly was nicely fried with a crispy exterior while still juicy inside, and it paired well with the noodles. A solid and comforting choice. For drinks, I tried the Hainan coffee. The aroma was pleasant, though the taste was a bit on the lighter side for my personal preference. Still nice to have alongside the meal. The ambience was beautiful and clean, making it a great spot to sit down and enjoy a relaxed meal. On top of that, the service was excellent โ friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which always makes a big difference. Overall, Kopilicious is a great place in the CBD for Malaysian food with a comfortable atmosphere and good service. Definitely a spot worth visiting if youโre craving some Southeast Asian flavours. Would love to come back and try more dishes next time!
Really happy with the food here! Came late night (9.45pm) and it was pretty empty so not sure how they are during a busy period, but I found service fast, food came out quick, and food was very authentic. The Char Koay Teow had perfect wok hey, and also has the pork lard which I love (not everywhere has this)! The Tarik siew dai was also good, just the right level of sweet, but you can tell they use a frother to mix the drink as opposed to actually pulling the tea. Still, it tasted good enough. Atmosphere was great, casual and the focus is on the food not on super fancy decor. But still clean, simple, and a good vibe. Also they have love music and some nice ambiance with fairy lights without overdoing it. Would love to come back and try more dishes next time with a bunch of others!
Great vibes all around with a lovely live singer and cosy camping-style aesthetics. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into setting this place up! The food is decent โ not bad, but could use a bit more flavour overall. The dishes lean more towards a Chinese-style taste, which makes sense since the restaurant is run by the owners of Lim Kopi. Personally, I wouldโve liked the sambal to be stronger and spicier, and the noodles a little less wet, but thatโs also down to personal preference. What we ordered: ๐ Nasi lemak with fried chicken โ $20.80 ๐ฆ Mee goreng โ $17.80 Total: $38.60
This is a cozy and adorable restaurant! They use outdoor camping sets for their seats and tables, which creates a fun, al fresco dining atmosphere that I really enjoyed. The food is traditional Malaysian cuisine, packed with incredible flavor. I tried several dishes, all of which were delicious and full of depth. Highly recommended!
