The lady who manages the restaurant was kind and attentive :) Ordered the mix grill platter for 2, was quite delicious!
Absolutely lovely service and food. Authentic Greek cuisine, tastes like home 🙏
We visited on a Saturday night with an early 6pm booking. We arrived on time, and only waited a few minutes to be seated. There were, maybe, 3 other tables seated when we arrived. We received our menus quickly, and waited about 10 minutes to place our order. The seafood platter had been recommended to us, so we took that onboard, and ordered one for 4. We waited about 10 mins for our drinks to come and then about 20 minutes for our seafood tower. Having ordered a tower for 4, which cost $140 (there were 3 of us). We thought there would be 8 oysters, 4 prawns, etc. but there were 6 oysters, 3 large prawns, 4 half-bugs, a dish of mussel meat in sauce, and scallops in the most divine sauce! under the bugs. Also grilled octopus and some octopus balls. The oysters had an aioli sauce which was lucky, because we used it for the octopus balls, as there wasn't any sauce for them. The oysters were fresh and delicious, but we were disappointed that there were only 6 on a platter for 4 people. I guess someone would have to go to battle over the split. The prawns were grilled and tasted nice, but having only one each was disappointing. The bugs were lovely and the sauce that the scallops were in was divine, deliciously rich and creamy. But all up, we felt that the platter was overpriced for what we received. When we had placed our order, we asked about dessert and were told what they had. The options sounded great, and we were hoping to taste three of the desserts they had mentioned. (We skipped the entrees to save room for dessert.) Sadly, the restaurant became quite busy on that Saturday night and the staff weren't able to cope with the amount of people, so we were left alone after receiving our main meal. We tried to catch the eye of the waiter numerous times, but he did well to ignore us. It was pretty loud, but shouting didn't seem the right thing to do to get their attention. So after waiting 30-45 minutes after our meal, and having no luck with getting any more service, we decided to pay and leave.
I have been wanting to try Klimataria for many months now so was thrilled to finally get there. Service was superb. The small number of staff somehow manage to divide themselves in 2 and are so efficient with service with no wait times. The friendliness was beautiful and just like what you experience in Greece. Atmosphere was great. I loved the Greek music. Menu suited us perfectly as we are all meat lovers, cheese (saganaki) lovers and pitta and dip lovers. Casual restaurant so no need to get too dressed up, however this would be a great place for a special occasion or group gathering for a big birthday or any occasion with loved ones. Quite good price point too, considering the amount of good quality meat we got it was very good value for money. Very very happy with our meal and delighted to see, what is obviously a family run restaurant, be successful.
Delicious food and such a welcoming spot they really cater for everyone! I loved the dishes I tried, especially the Vegan Moussaka and Gemista. Super keen to come back and try more of the menu. Highly recommend!
