Walked past this morning so popped in for a closer look. The lamb on the spit (souvla) smelled delicious and the restaurant was full of men playing cards - couldnโt resist having a coffee. Booked for dinner (souvla, lemon potato, Greek salad, dips, Retsina, Greek dessert) fabulous meal, great atmosphere. Canโt recommend this restaurant highly enough. Reminded me of my holidays many years ago in Mykonos and the Greek islands.
Super authentic! They even had the spit & buckets of charcoal out, always a green flag. We got the banquet for 2 with chicken & lamb. Everything was delicious, service was fast & friendly. Definitely coming back!
Me and my friend were the only non-old-greek people there. A variety of Greek/Cypriot dishes to choose from, ask the staff if you've no idea what some of the stuff are. Their pita bread is genuinely amazing, star of the show. Pita wraps at $10 are great value. One complaint: I have no idea why they give you no spoon with the coffee. It was super thick at the bottom and watery on top!
fantastic food. Some of the best weโve had outside of Greece (with the exception of family homes). Lovely service and a really fun atmosphere on a Saturday. People singing, dancing, sitting around and enjoying themselves in big family groups. Really wonderful.
If you want traditional Greek food, @ is the place to go. Went with the ApโTa Karvouna banquet which means โfrom the coalsโ as well as ordering some spanakopita and meatballs to accompany it. The food and prices were amazing- seriously great value for how much we got! My faves were the juicy chicken souvlaki and the flavour-packed keftedes (meatballs) which were crispy and flavourful. I also enjoyed the pork sausage and beef patties which were juicy and perfectly seasoned. We finished off with desserts- the kataifi was a crunchy, syrupy dream, and you canโt go wrong with a sweet little Turkish Delight. BYO was a huge bonus too! Service was super slow and I actually had to go up to the counter to order dessert because they never came over, but the laid-back, relaxed vibe kind of made up for it. Perfect for a casual night out.
