Went to Jom (Melbourne CBD) and honestly… so impressed. We tried the Curry Chicken Rice and the Jom Special Chicken Rice and both were proper comfort food done right. The curry chicken rice was absolutely on point, rich, fragrant, and perfectly balanced, easily top 3 curry chicken rice for me. The chicken was tender and the sauce had that addictive, one more spoon depth. The Jom special chicken rice was just as good in a different way, super tasty, clean flavours, and really well balanced. The rice itself is flavourful, and that spicy chutney on the side is out of this world, genuinely next level. If you’re in the CBD and want a satisfying, no-fuss meal that hits the spot, highly recommend.

This might be one of the best restaurants to try in Melbourne. It serves a classic Malaysian cuisine, with a wide variety, such as rice and noodle dishes. Ordered one of their classic chicken rice dishes, and it absolutely tastes excellent! The rice is cooked perfectly, and it’s packed with flavour. The broth that comes with it also tastes sensational. The chicken is fried nicely and it’s also packed with flavours. The chilli and cucumber adds a nice condiment to the whole dish. Overall, the dish is executed well. As for the place, it is indoors, and it’s quite small, but still spacious with plenty of seatings. The staff here is also friendly, and the foods came out relatively quickly. Definitely recommend trying this restaurant when visiting Melbourne!

Cute little resto that serves delicious Malaysian dishes. Was craving seafood laksa on a cold day and it just hits the spot. Service was great, nice approachable people. Atmosphere was okay. Music was great tho — chill type 😆

Decent flavours... Could elevate the taste more. Smallish place but clean and good service. Laksa was good, noodles with roast chicken was ok. Bit in the sweeter side.

Nice, clean and cozy restaurant. The price is reasonable for the portion. It has the lunch with discounted price on weekdays. Few things that could be improve, the chicken curry would be better with coconut rice as the standard and not white rice. The curry flavour is not complex enough meaning lacks the sweetness and savoury. There is also only 5 small drumsticks (probably parts of the wing) in the curry. Better if there are different cuts of the chicken. In addition, for the chili sauce, better if therr is home make sambal.
