I was just bored to cook at home so i quickly googled takeaways nearby, that was when i stumbled upon this hidden gem. At just 5 minutes away from my house, we went there just to grab takeaways then as there was seating available we chose to sat down, oh what a great decision it was. The chef/owner is so accommodating, from explaining what every meal is to making everything in house, yes literally everything even the sauces. I am glad that i chose this place to eat, the food was one of the best i have ever had. In the Pho you could taste the flavour of each and every ingredient. The pork skewers plump and juicy and just cooked the right amount. The chicken, fried mind you, but falling off the bone. Oh what an experience, the chef explained us about all the food everything tasted so wonderful. We were also given two complimentary teas which were made in house as well both just extremely delicious. Knowing the origin of each item, everything locally sourced and high quality, this place is a hit. I hope only good things happen to the owner and this place. If you read my review don’t settle for it, try it yourself, its worth the money and its not very dear as well. Beautiful experience, amazing food. To sum up the experience in two words, Gastro-Sensuous. Will be coming back again. Such a hidden gem. ❤️

Such a great Vietnamese spot. Every dish was full of flavour — rich, savoury and really well balanced. You can really taste the quality and care in the food. The owners were lovely and genuinely checked in to make sure everyone was enjoying their meal. The homemade herbal teas are a standout — with a unique flavour you won’t find elsewhere. Tried the red and purple blends and both were beautifully aromatic and soothing. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

We started with 3 delicious entrees . Spring rolls were tasty and crunchy, the sticky pork bao buns were a flavour bomb and the satay sticks had one of the best sauces we have ever tried . We also had the shaking beef and the egg noodle soup which were also very tasty. The owner was very attentive and made us feel welcome and offered his own blend of tea to compliment the meal.Will definitely be going back.

Lovely quaint restaurant with fantastic service and delicious food. I can’t understate how nice Halcyon Nest is!!! The menu is carefully thought out and delivered exceptionally. Kudos to the owners who are also the chefs! They have made a gluten free (except banh mi) and dairy free menu so there is something for everyone. The sauces are made from scratch and the flavour profiles show it! We will be coming back regularly 😊

Came for a stroll in erindale for dinner. Found this little gem. Great food with a homely atmosphere of a small asian diner. The portions were perfect and the amount meat in the pho was great. We tried a range of food all of which was delicious and priced so conservatively. A fantastic meal and wholesome experience.
