What a gem of a find in Townsville! My friend from Melbourne actually recommended this place to me and I’m so glad I followed through, clearly the place is well known by people outside of Townsville. I ordered the beef blintzes and my friend got the eggplant shakshuka. The food was amazing. We stayed for dessert - I got a slice of the carrot cake from their dessert cabinet - they had such a selection (coconut cake, chocolate marbled cake, coffee and almond cake, basque cheesecake etc etc). Highly recommend.

So good. My fave Brekky in Townsville. The only suggestion I’d make is offering a ‘small serving’ size as I feel SO bad leaving 1/2 to 1/3 of it behind. After I’ve gorged myself on delicious shakshuka and challah bread 😍

A True Hidden Gem in Townsville! Grandma’s Restaurant is absolutely wonderful! From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home — the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, just like visiting your own grandma’s kitchen. The food is full of heart and flavor, made with love and care. Every dish tastes homemade and fresh, and the portions are generous too!

Came here for breakfast. I had baked eggs in a tomato sauce, with cheese it was lovely, I wish they told me they on there own baked bread. When the asked me what options. I said sour dough. When my friends arrived and I tried their baked bread was amazing! Bice food my eggs were over cooked for this dish.

Every dish felt homemade with love, especially the bread and the hearty mains. A special thank you to the chef for preparing such excellent meals and to the friendly business owner and staff who made us feel so welcome. Their hospitality and genuine care made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing food and warm service – we’ll definitely be coming back!
