Such a great atmosphere right in the heart of Melbourneโs Koreatown! โจ๐ฐ๐ท Caught up with friends for a casual dinner and it was exactly the right vibe. A cosy little laneway spot with both alfresco and indoor dining, which makes it so easy, lively, and full of energy! ๐๐ฝ๏ธ The food? Generous and seriously delicious. ๐ Friends ordered the kimbap and honestlyโฆ Iโm still thinking about it! ๐ฅขโจ
Dong Dae Moon Melbourne never disappoints โ bubbling Kimchi Jjigae, silky Yukhoe, fresh Sannakji, tightly rolled prawn kimbap, and banchan that actually matters. No shortcuts, no fusion tricks โ just bold Korean flavors done right. If you know, you come back. ๐ฅ #genastar/
Not sure why this place doesn't have a bunch of reviews as this place was jammed pack during dinner. You order through qr code and server confirms your food and delivers to you. Had fried chicken , Kim chi soup and bibimbap and a beer. Everything was stellar here, no wonder there were so many Koreans here....
Man this place is Soo cool, legit makes you feel like you're overseas it's amazing. The food was sooooo good. Super fresh and authentic tasting. The gukbal soup was tasty as. Team was super helpful and didn't take long for food to come. Quality and quantity! Must try
Saw Dong Dae Moon all over socials so had to check it out, and Iโd also heard from a few Korean locals that it was worth a visit. Glad I did โ overall a really solid and affordable spot. The pricing is very fair for the amount of food you get, especially for dishes that would normally be expensive or only worth ordering if youโre sharing. Here you can try a lot more without breaking the bank. Tried the spicy noodle dish on staff recommendation โ not actually too spicy, but really nice flavour. The Korean fried chicken (ordered original) came more like popcorn chicken pieces than the larger styles you usually see, but it was still tasty, just nothing out of the ordinary. The tuna mayo gimbap reminded me of a sushi roll but with that gimbap twist โ simple, comforting, and good value. The place was buzzing with locals, which is always a good sign. Overall, the food isnโt anything extraordinary, but at this price point itโs very fair, filling, and worth trying.
