This was my first visit to Corner 75 under its new management, and while I came in a little skeptical, I left genuinely impressed. They’ve clearly preserved the soul and beautiful flavours that made Corner 75 special, while subtly elevating the experience for modern diners. We started with the lángos, which was absolutely outstanding, crisp, indulgent, and deeply comforting. The cucumber with pumpkin seed oil was another standout, simple but beautifully balanced. I also loved the goulash and matzo ball, both rich, warming, and done with care. The real highlight for me was the paprikash with nokedli, deeply flavourful and incredibly satisfying. The pork schnitzel was excellent too, with a breadcrumb crust that was light, crunchy, and perfectly golden. The creamed spinach was delicious and instantly nostalgic, the kind of dish that feels like home. Dessert was a perfect close. The cherry dumplings, apricot crêpe, and sour cream ice cream were all spot on and rounded out the meal beautifully. The only minor downside was the acoustics, as it did get quite loud with a full house and we found ourselves raising our voices a bit. That said, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the overall experience. All in all, I still absolutely love Corner 75, and it’s reassuring to see it in such good hands under new management. I’ll definitely be back.

Had an amazing dinner at this restaurant tonight! The food was incredibly unique and full of flavour, it’s not something you find often in Sydney, and it was such a refreshing change. The lady who served us was absolutely lovely. Her friendliness and great service made the whole experience even better for us. We left satisfied and will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something special and authentic. Can’t wait to come back and try the other dishes.

Wow absolutely amazing. The food was incredible from start to finish. The wait staff were excellent, timing the rate the food came out perfectly. Some of the highlights were the Langos and Sour cream, Oyster mushroom hortobágyi palacsinta, Gulyásleves and Apple Strudel. The interior was amazingly decorated with hints to classic Hungarian football culture littered across the walls. As far as Hungarian food goes in Sydney it doesn’t get any better than this.

As a Hungarian, I genuinely wanted to enjoy this restaurant. Sadly, I left thoroughly disappointed. If I hadn’t read the menu, I would have struggled to recognize most of the dishes, or even guess that this was meant to be Hungarian cuisine. The selection is extremely limited, with only three main courses, and many of the items offered aren’t even Hungarian at all. It feels as though the dishes were chosen for their ease and speed rather than authenticity, with recipes altered and simplified to allow for quicker preparation and higher customer turnover. Usually, when traditional dishes are given a modern twist, they become lighter and healthier. Here, the opposite was true: everything was heavier and less healthy than it should be. I consider this restaurant not just a disappointment, but an affront to Hungarian culinary culture. It’s a real shame that someone’s first encounter with so-called Hungarian food might be here. My advice is simple: either learn how to prepare true Hungarian dishes, or consider closing this sorry excuse for a Hungarian restaurant. On a positive note, the service was attentive and the waitstaff were friendly, thank you for that. You did your best, it is not your fault that the owner of the restaurant was born without taste buds.

The restaurant experience made us feel as though we were at their family table. From the warm welcome and introductions, to the stories behind each of the dishes and the attentive and thoughtful service, everyone should make the trip to Corner 75. With Hungarian heritage, it was a special family lunch experience to take my dad and evoked a real sense of nostalgia. Thank you team for such a memorable experience.
