Read the review and decide to give it a go and turns out it was amazing. This family restaurant gave a good hospitality, we came after the dinner time so we were not wait too long for the food. Tried their combination pho and the meatball pho, both were amazing even not much meat but overall 4/5 โœจ

My family and I came up from Melbourne for a trip, not knowing what food was available in Darwin (searched a lot but thereโ€™s definitely not as many food options in Darwin as there is in Melbourne) Ordered the Pho Special, Bun Bo Hue, Crispy Chicken with fried rice and egg, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Banh Mi Crispy Pork, and Banh Mi Grilled Pork. Havenโ€™t tried the banh mis yet since we got it take away. Took a while for the food to come out (since thereโ€™s like only 1 chef working in the back or something) - but so so so worth the wait. Service was great, the lady who served us was working really hard as she was the only one taking orders and bringing out dishes too. Absolute highlight is the pho special. So so so good, and as someone who is Vietnamese, and has tried MANY MANY MANY phos in Melbourne and Vietnam (and a few other countries too), this is the best in Australia (so far). Pho was not too oily, flavour was PERFECT (legit so similar to my mums - and everyone knows home cooked food is superior). The toppings like the beef balls, and tendons were great - sliced beef was just like every other pho place, does the job. Family also raved about it (and we KNOW food). The crispy chicken fried rice dish - fried rice was so garlicky (we love garlic here) and had a slight wok hei to it. Super duper aromatic. Chicken was crispy but a bit dry. The dish was still so so so good. Bun bo hue was okay, not bad but nothing outstanding. If you like AUTHENTIC Vietnamese food you should definitely give this place a try. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”- UPDATE: tried the banh mis. Crispy pork banh mi: the pork belly was quite fatty. I wish the pickled carrots were a bit more pickled. I also wish there was more sauce in the banh mi (I did see a customer squeezing hoisin sauce into his banh mi at the restaurant (seems like thatโ€™s the strategy to enjoying it) Grilled pork banh mi: a lot more flavour than the crispy pork banh mi. The highlight was the grilled pork - it has the distinct Smokey flavour that meat gets when grilled over charcoal. Would recommend the grilled pork over the crispy pork roll. The banh mis arenโ€™t the best ones Iโ€™ve had but definitely a lot better than many back in Melbourne!

Gorgeous little spot where one really wants to come back again and again to work yourself through their menu one dish at a time . I had crispy pork ๐Ÿฅฉ banh mi ๐Ÿฅช and my friend had a vegetarian ribs and rice with tofu and egg. It was nice that they offered the egg and tofu for no extra charge. Great food, clean environment and an overall positive experience. Recommended .

Really disappointing. We used to come here often and enjoyed our meals. Sometimes the food came out quite slowly, but we were patient and didnโ€™t mind waiting. However, this time was very different. We ordered Bรบn bรฒ Huแบฟ, but what we received was very disappointing โ€” barely any noodles and just a few pieces of meat. My husband got the regular bowl. I told the waiter I wanted everything in the bowl except for pork. But what I received was just plain beef โ€” no beef balls, no chแบฃ (Vietnamese ham). The portion was very small, especially considering the price was nearly $22. On top of that, the waiterโ€™s attitude was not welcoming at all. In the past, there used to be a very friendly waiter, but this time it felt like they didnโ€™t care. We might never come back. The bowl I received looked very empty compared to the regular bowl (you can see in the photo โ€” ours is on the left). Same price, but clearly not the same quality or portion. It feels like they only care about money now, not about providing good food or good service.

Iโ€™ve been to this restaurant many times and always enjoyed the food. This time, I got takeaway and tried โ€œbรกnh hแปiโ€โ€”it was fantastic! The portion was generous, easily enough for two people. The taste was authentic and delicious, with fresh ingredients and great flavors. Definitely worth trying if you love Vietnamese food!
