Tried chicken on a stick in Cairns and wow โ so good! The chicken was juicy, tasty, and just hit the spot. The whole vibe was super chill and the staff were absolute legends โ super friendly and made the experience even better. Definitely recommend grabbing one if youโre around!
Wow can't believe how long I've lived in Cairns and I've never eaten from this shop! Definitely will be a repeat customer! The hot and spicy chicken was soooo good and the chicken was huge and super crunchy! Really awesome value for money as well! The fellas in the shop were really friendly as well. This shop ticks all the boxes! Can't wait to come back and try some of the bigger meals! They all look amazing!
We ordered a cup of chicken (honey soy) and crunchy sticky (sweet spicy); the chicken was still hot cause it was just out of the kitchen. It tastes juicy and fresh without the dryness. It is located in Cairns Night Market. It opens weekday (except Wednesday) 11 am- 2 pm, 4 pm - 9 pm and the weekend 2:30 pm -9 pm.
When I visited the Night Markets on Wednesday, I didn't get the chance to try out Chicken on a Stick but I'm thanking my lucky stars that I came back the next night. The second I saw the stall was open, I immediately bought some chicken skewers, a grilled sweet spicy stick and a crunchy snow cheese stick. The grilled chicken is amazingly tender and exploding with flavour, further enhanced by the aromatics of the grilled shallots. Truthful to its name, the crunchy chicken begins with an enjoyable chew that is balanced with the delicate sweetness of the snow cheese and an orange, peppery sauce. This is all thanks to the very friendly staff and fantastic kitchen in the back. You definitely get what you order but provided at a quality beyond words, you'll be too busy savouring the chicken to even think about it! So don't come to the Night Markets on a Wednesday because you'll miss out on an absolute, shining gem in mastering scrumptious street food.
