You know it’s legit Asian (viet) restaurant when the restaurant has Asian patrons. Food was spot on and their porkchopms one of the best ones I’ve had. We also ordered noodles with crispy chicken (i forgot to take a photo) and the broth was light, yet full of flavour. It was just perfect for lunch!

Can Tho was my local go-to Vietnamese restaurant for over 17 years. When the hands changed over, I was worried but there wasn’t any major changes during the transition and the new owner was nice. Since gunghalin got Noi Noi, I hadn’t been back for a long time and thought I’d have my birthday dinner there last week. Wow. Terrible service, the current owner and the waiters were so unfriendly. It’s like we were an inconvenience and simply just seemed miserable. We opted for this place due to its space as we had 5 young kids in our group (13 of us in total). One particular waitress was so rude having to get past us with food, we got there at 5:30 and it wasn’t even busy in then. We ordered 10 dishes and only 2/10 were disappointing. I won’t be in a hurry to go back. If I ever go back. I used to love the old man who owned it, he sat at the front counter, always so happy and I knew all the customers. The waiters back then were all so lovely. A real shame, it was a much loved place to go.

Very nice atmosphere and yummy food. Love the pho and other Vietnamese dishes (some of the them maybe not available in other Vietnamese restaurants in Canberra. If you like Vietnamese food don’t miss this one in Canberra then

I liked it because it wasn’t as crowded as other restaurants I’ve been to, and the Pho was fantastic! However, I wasn’t too happy with the dessert. The mango ice cream was a bit too sour for my taste, and the sticky rice, which I expected to be sweet, wasn’t quite what I had in mind. The coconut flavor was also not very noticeable.

Can Tho has been a local favourite for many years, offering all the Vietnamese favourites like pho, broken rice dishes as well as vermicelli. A few months ago, the restaurant changed hands but thankfully the new owners have kept the same menu. We ordered a special beef noodle soup and a combination chow mien and a serve of the shallot pancake. The pho was good and really big. The bigger size is over $20 so just as well the size made up for the cost. The combination chow mien was good too, although not ample meat and again this was over $20 a serve. The shallot pancakes tasted good but they were more the Cantonese style shallot pancakes as opposed to the ones you'd get on the mainland.
