Went for a Sunday afternoon Christmas party and Iโm all for places having live bands playing but when you canโt even hear yourself talk or the bartender talk itโs way to loud. The bar staff have no customer service skills and canโt even smile or greet you. Was really disappointed when this place was talked up. The drinks were hot. Got a billson can that came out of the fridge was warm the cocktails warm. $20 for a warm drink is abit rich
Not really a brewery definitely more like a sports bar. Lots of TVs and lots of sport. $40 an hour for shuffle board and $15 an hour for a rough pool table. Smoked chicken wings not even smoked, loaded potato gems a hit, also if you like dry corn chips the corn chips and salsa is for you because thereโs enough salsa for 10 of the 40 corn chips. Not many of their own beers on tap.
The quality of the one vegan option they offer is now awful and has steadily declined over the course of our three visits to this place. Very unfortunate considering itโs one of the only places that offered good vegan food in toowoomba. We visited earlier in the year and the chef not only made us an amazing version of the mushroom burger on a black seeded bun, pesto and cooked to perfection, but also went out of his way to make a vegan version of the loaded gems which were delicious. We went back a few months ago and while the gems werenโt an option anymore, the burger was still delicious and we were keen to come back. We then came for dinner on Saturday (25/10) and brought a few other local vegans with us to try the burger and it was dreadful. The burger bun (I think theyโre vegan bun is also the gluten free one from the looks and taste of it) was dry, untoasted and bland, there was no pesto, the mushroom was half the size of the actual burger, yet they only put one on, and the whole thing was bland. If we hadnโt been in a rush we wouldโve gone somewhere else to eat. Such a disappointing difference from our previous great experiences and all who ordered were disappointed. The bartender told us they changed suppliers which is absolutely to their detriment, but also said the bun was the same just not black - absolutely not true as the last bun was seeded, soft and delicious and the bun we were served weโre dry and pretty uninspiring. What a let down and wonโt be ordering that burger here again unless something changes. I donโt usually like giving bad reviews, but this place had one of the best and only good vegan options in town and itโs just sad theyโve seemingly succumbed to the low standards everywhere else in town seems to have for dietary preferences.
Day trip to Toowoomba and ended up here. Food was so damn good... Philly Cheesesteak with fries. Atmosphere was pretty good for midday on Saturday. We'll be coming back another time.
Such a cool looking place with A grade atmosphere, very personable and helpful staff, and great beer and food selections! I had the kransky hot dog and chips which were delicious, and added the peach and praline sour beer for something different. So glad I did because it was delicious! My wife had the Portobello mushroom burger and said it was very tasty also. Couldn't recommend this establishment and it's staff more highly!! โญโญโญโญโญ
