We love their ramen, authentic taste of ramen. The only thing is, place is quite small so make sure dine in when the place is not too busy. They do have condiments, staff are accomodating.
Iโm afraid I couldnโt agree with the mainstream good reviews. The ramen was disappointing and underwhelming. We had tonkotsu regular and deluxe. Although the noodles were ok, the broth itself lacked depth, was so greasy and pretty flavourless. There was also this unpleasant bitterness as I kept eating, could be from the black fungus Iโm not sure. Also Iโve never had char siu fallen apart like this when it was just served - not even a single piece of char siu was intact. The meat was again fatty and wasnโt fresh. Overall below average.
This was the first ramen I have ever tried and they have set the bar super high for my expectations of anywhere else! Tried the classic Tonkotsu and Black Garlic ramen, both were absolutely insane. Both packed with flavour, the meat in both was super tasty and tender. Both broths were so rich and tasty, perfect balance of umami and saltiness. Also got the Karrage chicken in honey soy glaze which was so so good. Two huge bowls of ramen, chicken and two iced green teas for $60 - deal of the century! Canโt wait to come back!
Tried pork and chicken ramen and the broth is just at the right saltiness and thickness. The ramen could be cooked shorter. The matcha cream puff is yummy and not too sweet. One disadvantage is the table is a bit too small.
Visited here twice in late September 2025 on a business trip. Lunch time is extremely busy, I would suggest that you either come early or just after lunch peak time. The ramen noddle here is a little firmer (nicer IMHO) than says Ramen Kann (see my other review) across the river near the Children's hospital, but the pork bone soup is (surprisingly) not as strong as the chicken broth in Ramen Kann but still delicious. The black garlic tonkotsu is slightly more oily on Monday then on Friday, and the pork slices have more fat than some other ramen places. Overall, I would still visit here, next time I am in town.
