This used to be my favourite Chinese restaurant in Canberra, which makes this visit really disappointing. The fried rice used to be fluffy, with each grain separate and not dry at all. This time it tasted reheated — the rice was hard, dry, and crumbly. Other dishes were just average. I really hope the food quality improves and goes back to how it used to be.

We are natives to Canberra we were here for our 27th anniversary. prior to going to a string quartet concert at the James Fairfax Hall we found this restaurant. From the moment we arrived there was ample staff to make us feel welcome and important! The food, Mongolian Beef, Duck Breast buk choy with Garlick and special fried rice looked and tasted AMAZING!! We ate all of it..no doggy bag required! We are going again two nights in a row! ❤️

Have never been disappointed. Great service, welcoming manner . Man had Mongolian lamb and sticky rice whilst I enjoyed my stir fry mushrooms with green chili!

Bambusa is hands-down the best Chinese food we’ve had in ages. The dishes were packed with flavour and felt super fresh, and the whole vibe of the place was warm and relaxed. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the night even better. It’s cosy without being cramped, and the prices were totally fair for how good everything tasted. We’ll definitely be back.

Enjoyed Mongolian beef, combination laksa, and dim sum today. It’s been a while since I’ve had such well-crafted dishes — absolutely delicious and worth recommending.
