The beef literally falls off the bones and melt in your mouth. The duck is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Both have excellent flavors. The drinks are nice and refreshing in the summer, not too sweet on both. This is a hole in a wall place and you have to sit outside, so factor that in before you come here in a hot and humid day.

My husband and I are literally sitting at Bagus Cafe, we’ve just finished eating “Iga Bakar” and “Ayam Bakar”, it was absolutely delicious! 🤤 The service was warm and inviting. We loved every thing about Bagus cafe!

An authentic Indonesian restaurant, run by the most sweetest family! food was amazing and light on the stomach for a hot city! The best food in Cairns! Service was quick and thoughtful! We came as 14 girls and with only 3 people in the back cooking we all got our food reasonably quick! The Mi Goreng, Beef Rendang and Chicken satay was so yummy! For the spicy lovers the sambal was delicious!

Finally had a dinner at bagus cafe (after 1 yr living in cairns, tmi hehe) Bebek and pomfret fish was soooo goooooodddd. Yall the fish is so BIG, make sure ure starving enough to eat it haha. And shout out to the owner and the cashier, they gave me free tea 🥺🫶

This place is amazing! The most authentic Indonesian food I have had outside of Indonesia. The owners are super friendly and have created a great atmosphere there. I highly recommend getting pecel as an add on to your meal - mixed veggies with super delicious peanut sauce. Terima kasih ya pak 🙏
