As someone from Sydney’s Inner West, I’m spoiled with some of the best banh mi in the country, so when I came across this shop in Lake Macquarie Fair on a weekend trip to Newcastle, I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting much. But the first bite proved me wrong. The pork was the star: well-seasoned, the fat properly rendered, crispy skin, and a generous portion. The salads were fresh, the mayo was creamy without taking over, and the bread was spot on—thin, perfectly crusty on the outside and soft and fresh inside. Exactly what a great banh mi should be. The only thing holding it back from a 5/5 was the sauce; they used a basic soy–oyster style mix that didn’t add much depth. If they swapped it for something richer this would easily be one of the best banh mi I’ve had outside Sydney.
Spent $39 on 2 dishes and it was super delicious 😝 We can either dine in or takeaway. There are several seats to take and it is located near the Woolies. The spicy beef noodles is flavourful yet not spicy so you can add more fresh chillies to spark the spice.
Me and my friends stopped here for lunch by recommended of John from Thurst Burst . All the dishes were delicious and friendly staffs here too . Thank you for making good food ❤️ Highly recommend this place !
This place has never disappointed me. Every meal I have eaten here is as good as you would find on the streets of Vietnam. The Pho is outstanding in my opinion, well worth a visit.
Delicious pho! Amazing spring rolls! Super yummy fresh juice. And I had it all first thing on Sunday morning in Lake Macquarie. Sooooooo good. Definitely need to give this place a try. I'll be back to try the Banh Mi
