Every dish was beautifully balanced — fragrant herbs, delicate broths, and that unmistakable northern Vietnamese depth of flavour you rarely find outside Vietnam. You can tell there is real care and cultural respect in the cooking. Nothing felt rushed or adapted — just honest, traditional Hanoi-style cuisine done exceptionally well. The freshness of the ingredients and the attention to detail made the whole experience outstanding. If you’re looking for truly authentic Vietnamese food in Brisbane, Annamese Restaurant is a must. We’ll absolutely be back!

A fabulous addition to the Brisbane dining scene. Annamese is a very attractive restaurant with absolutely delicious, refined Vietnamese food. The staff are warm, engaging and professional. It is very well-priced for such an elegant restaurant. The spring rolls, prawn cups, mushroom chips and beef with betel leaves are all so moreish, I could have had seconds. The food is beautifully presented. This is a restaurant to return to again and again.

Excellent food and service. We had the New Year's Eve degustation menu. It was generous and we couldn't finish everything. Chicken and Pandan ice cream were particularly good

Went with friends for an end of year dinner and was very impressed with the food - very different to what I've had at other similar restaurants. Excellent sauces/dips with all the dishes and lifts the standard for Vietnamnese dining up another level. Watch out for days when nearby restaurants are busy since it can get a little loud. Otherwise a perfect place to enjoy great Vietnamnese food (with family and friends)!

The food at Annamese is absolutely delicious, especially the pho and bun cha — full of flavour and very authentic. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable and almost like being at home. I also really love the open kitchen concept, where you can see the chefs preparing the food right in front of you. It adds a warm, genuine touch to the whole experience. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be coming back again
