Hands down one of the best restaurants in Sydney. Ambience was good. Service was great. All the dishes we ordered tasted great. Definitely will visit again to try other dishes.
Our family came here for a New Yearโs Eve lunch and chose the tasting menu. What a feast for the taste buds! Every dish was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. The starters were a standout - each of the three bites (Sydney rock oyster with nuoc cham, chicken and prawn rice paper roll, and crispy rice chicken and prawn cake) was bursting with flavour. My favourite was the crispy rice chicken and prawn cake, it was excellent. For the mains, the crispy sand whiting with green apple salad was fresh and perfectly seasoned, the wok-fried crispy pork belly was delicious, and the chicken curry was creamy and full of flavour. The seasonal vegetables were also great, and the steamed jasmine rice and bread complemented the mains very well. Dessert was a coconut and mango ice cream (not pictured), which was light, refreshing, and a lovely way to finish the meal. The service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is beautiful - polished, elegant, and with a lovely Barangaroo view. I couldnโt fault anything about the experience, and we were so glad we chose this place for our New Yearโs Eve lunch.
Decided last minute to book an early dinner at Annamese while walking through barangaroo. And what can I say from walking in , ordering and tasting the food it was flawless. Food was very flavourful , the spicy margarita had a good kick ( probably of the best spicy margaritas in sydney I had ha thus far ). Service was great and might i add they have a dedicated Gluten Free menu which had alot to choose from. Definitely will be back (Sorry didn't get to get photos of the main as we were too hungry ๐ )
We absolutely loved the atmosphere, the friendly service, and the amazing flavours at Annamese. Our standout favourites were the scallop and prawn dumplings, the crab and prawn spring rolls, and the slow-cooked lamb shoulder (although actual portion of lamb could have been more substantial ;). The cocktails were also on point and the perfect complement to the meal.
My wife and I dined on a Monday night while in Sydney for a few days. We ordered the Duck and Prawn pancake rolls which were quite nice and fresh. For mains we ordered the wagu tri tip, the seasonal asian greens and crispy rice prawns and chicken cakes. The beef was seared and pre sliced thin, very tender. The greens were delicious and the cake was the pick for the night. If your after a more fancy Vietnamese meal, this is a good place to try. Service was amazing.
