Came here with my mum and we both ate ๐Ÿ‘ it ๐Ÿ‘ up ๐Ÿ‘ First time teishoku girlies and now we get the hype. Food was unreal, service was amazing, and the ambiance? She understood the assignment.

The format is: set menu starters and a choice of main. In our case we had the pork belly and duck breast (both 5/5). The starters are an excellent arrangement of vegetarian dishes with Japanese and Korean flavours, some cold, some warm. The service is adequate but to be honest it feels like what it is: a hotel restaurant. I didnโ€™t get any welcoming vibe, nor any enthusiasm or knowledge of the dishes. It feels like thereโ€™s no owner or motivated manager in the room. Efficient, pleasant, but a little disengaged. I notice a lot of comments on the ice cream dessert. I agree and donโ€™t understand the lack of responsiveness from Anglesea management: the ice cream doesnโ€™t โ€˜fitโ€™ the rest of the menu. An Asian fruit inspired sorbet might be a better option or drop it altogether from the set menu. We enjoyed the food, and would recommend it for a lunch, but it isnโ€™t somewhere we would go back to. Worth a visit for drinks and bar snacks or lunch.

We had a great time at Anglesea for lunch on a Friday. We came in at 2:30 PM and it was relatively quiet and we were attended to very well. They mentioned a note I had on the booking regarding a specific dietary requirement we had and explained the menu and what my companion could not have. The best thing was that we complained of mosquito bites in the venue, which was a bit odd, but our wonderful server (whose name we unfortunately did not get) went above and beyond - literally went to the chemist to get us bug spray! The food was delicious & definitely of a personal preference - I loved the soft shell crab & the tofu bites and will definitely be back to try the full teishoku set soon!

Fantastic new venue in Freo. Great vibes and decor give a great forst impression when u walk in. The service was flawless. Kieren was outstanding - amazing wine suggestion and went above and beyond throughout our entire dinner. The food was plentiful and delicious. Would sefinitely go back again and again. Hopefully they change up the menu regularly to keep it interesting.

Incredible dining experience! The unique set style menu made for an enjoyable meal, the set entree plate had a range of delicious and tasty small dishes, the main choice was varied and each portion was decent sized, the icecream dessert choice was fun. We enjoyed the Torched Salmon and Wagyu, both were impeccably delicious! Service was friendly and the atmosphere was great. The wine selection was interesting and unique. A wonderful fine dining experience for a reasonable price.
