Food is great at this restaurant, however, the staff never pick up the phone! And I mean NEVER. And they cannot argue that they are too busy, as I've driven down several times at different ordering times and they are not crazy busy. It's so frustrating, as I'd like to place an order and walk right in and collect it immediately instead of having to awkwardly wait 10+ minutes for them to make my order. Yes, they have ordering through Uber available online, but Uber take the price of a salad bowl from $21 to $29, so I'm not paying such a huge mark-up. As An Nam staff do not answer their phone, I've become so annoyed with them that I have chosen to take my business elsewhere and they now miss out on the very regular business of a local customer.
I really enjoyed my meal at An Nam Vietnam Kitchen in Sippy Downs. The food tasted super fresh and authentic, just like homemade Vietnamese dishes. Service was quick and the staff were really nice. The place is clean, comfy, and the portions are great for the price. Definitely one of the best spots around if youโre craving Vietnamese food!
First visit i consumed my Vietnamese coffee, broken rice with tofu so quickly i didn't even take pics. Absolutely delicious. The food is fresh and beautifully presented. Went back because i had to try the banh mi. Best one over ever had. Tofu delight was just that, a delight! And again i had the Vietnamese coffee. Just delicious. I also love the family feel of the place. Next time I'm in QLD I'll be dropping in to enjoy more of your delicious food.
We have been regular customers here for months, dining around 3 times a week, and up until now the food has always been fresh and enjoyable. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have been disappointing. On Wednesday we ordered takeaway (crackling pork salad bowl and spicy beef noodle soup). When we got home, we realised the salad bowl had no dressing at all. I called back, but was only told to drive back to collect it โ which is unreasonable given we live 25 minutes away (50 minutes return). Without dressing, the salad was dry and almost inedible. The only resolution offered was โsorry.โ On Friday, we dined in and ordered the same dishes. I mentioned Wednesdayโs issue, but when the spicy beef noodle soup arrived, the beef balls had a noticeable off smell and taste. I double-checked with my partner, and she confirmed the same. I spoke to the front of house, who said the cook tasted them and found no problem. Having worked as a fine dining chef for years, I know the difference between fresh and spoiled โ this was definitely not right. Itโs disappointing as we have really enjoyed this place for a long time, but two poor experiences in the same week with no real accountability makes me question the consistency and quality control here.
What a lovely Vietnamese restaurant nestled in the heart of Sippy Downs. The most authentic Vietnamese food that you can get within the area (and Iโm Vietnamese). Lovely and attentive customer service from the moment you enter the restaurant. I highly recommend getting their cracking pork belly broken rice, itโs delicious! If you like something sweet and sour, definitely try out their passion fruit iced tea. If you want to try something soupy but different, try their Bun Bo Hue! Would come back again to try other things on their menu.
