Was working right outside, wanted lunch. The beef Pho was absolutely delicious. Perfect about of seasoning and flavour. It came out quick and the people who work there was super kind and sweets. Would 100% recommend going if your at Queen vic Market! 10/10

When I first rocked up to Alex Canteen I was skeptical but when I locked eyes with the owner Mr Alex he was very respectful kind and treat me like one of his family members I appreciate not only him but his team for treating me with respect compassion and kindness towards myself as a customer and gave excellent recommendations in terms of the egg and bacon so nice it was singing in my tummy as it went down I will recommend everybody that wants a great experience and affordable breakfast before the rush of the market or on a quiet day with sunny weather thankyou MR Alex and I’m glad I could donate $2.20 towards your wonderful shop thankyou for helping out the people that need help and others who are doing it rough

The rare beef pho was pretty decent and the pork roll was nice. I just wish they could add a bit more spring onions in the pho. The customer service was okay. Atmosphere is okay too. I loved how they open really early so I can eat before I go and check out the QVB market

Almost overlooked this restaurant! Very rustic interior but I promise you will be able to get authentic Vietnamese with reasonable price!! Very spacious seating area if you dine in. A lot of food options on the menu and staff members were so lovely! Hot bowl of pho on a cold rainy day (exactly why I walked in there, see the steam in the video) and the sweet broth is just perfect!

This bowl of pho is insanely good! I walked past this place two years ago and told myself I’d try it someday and today I finally did. So worth the wait! It was so delicious and totally made my whole day. Pure happiness in a bowl! 🥰🍜
